| Members of the committee take weekly Secchi measurements for water quality and monthly water sample for chemistry studies including phosphorous and chlorophyll, as well as water temperatures every 10 feet from surface to bottom. This material goes into a database for future reference as well as comparison with similar lakes in Wisconsin. | |
| The committee also applied for and received a grant for mapping and study of phosphorous input into Long Lake's watershed (2001) — done by Nick Stadnyk at Applied Data Systems. |
